Second Chance Act Grant

Counties receiving Reinvestment Grants, are excellent candidates for the Second Chance Act grant from the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local reentry demonstration projects, which was released on February 27, 2009 by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), U.S. Department of Justice.

The grant application deadline is April 20, 2009.

The Reentry Policy Council held a webinar this week and has posted the presentation on its website: http://reentrypolicy.org. On the website there is also a toolkit for local governments who want to apply for the grant.
